Aircraft starting point.

Postby Ironhat2 » Mon Nov 24, 2008 6:00 pm

When i start free flight and a flight plan my plane is usually on the end of the runway with engines running. Is there a way i can have the plane in the parking area with engine off ? I've checked options but didn't see anyplace to do this. Did i overlook something?
Thank you

For starting at a parking spot or a gate, at the airport select screen there is an option for runway select, the parking(if there is any) will be listed in that section also. Just pick your spot and that's where you will be.

For a cold cockpit, you will need to start a flight and shut everything down and then save that flight. Then when you load it again, it will be as you wanted it. ;)

If there is an easier way than that, someone will surely come along and post it. :)

This is what I do for a cold and dark cockpit:

Select the Cessna 172 and turn off the magnetos of the bottom left of the dashboard, avionics right of the magnetos and pull the fuel mixture lever all the way out. Then select the aircraft you
