i've been meaning to ask this for a while now... since i couldn't solve it on my own... not quickly at least..
so i got my ProFlight Rudder Pedals a while back, and since i was busy playing other games, i didn't mind much then that the toebrakes in FSX weren't functioning as they should... now that i'm playing FS more constantly, it began to become somewhat of a nuisance
what happens is that, at any given time, even with the toe brakes completely released, the brakes won't let go...
i tried reversing the axis... and that helped a little in the sense that apart from this problem, the brake axis was also reversed.
but the matter remains that even if i let go of the brakes, they will not disengage fully, and the BRAKES message is never not displayed... taxiing feels like driving an 18 wheeler with clogged airlines

the only way to release the brakes fully, or else taking off would be impossible, is to press the trigger, which i have mapped to the parking brakes...
also i have the regular brakes mapped as the primary trigger, and the parking brakes are on the secondary trigger (it's a Saitek X52... it has 2 trigger positions on the same button, so when you press it all the way in, it's a different button... but the first one doesn't let go) i think this could be adding to the problem... but i'm not sure, either way, but right now it's my only way of actually releasing the brakes
something i noted and thought weird, was that on the joystick properties/calibration dialog, i see that by default, that is, until moved, the toebrake axis reports being at 50% of the way in, and not at 0%, which is where i would think it should be...
i don't know if this is a problem of the dialog itself, or the axis is actually reporting being in that position.. which could further add to the matter at hand
well, i am in need of insights on this most unsettling matter...
thanks in advance
Cheers
