Terrain deleted - Please Help

I've accidently deleted my terrain.cfg, doh!

Could someone paste or send me their terrain.cfg.

I'm using FSX Acceleration.

Had the same thoughts when someone wanted to have some aircraft.cfg, but was told better by a mod:

It could be pirated. Not saying it is, but a person with a legal copy should surely have no problems doing a repair.

EDIT: And if you think about it, whether or not the person has a copy, it's still not legal to send it.

I don't have a gun, but that doesn't make it legal for me to steal bullets, does it?

Just replace the .txt-ending by .cfg and you're done - a brand new terrain.cfg!

I dont own any pirated software. If i could repair install and guarantee that the repair would not affect the other add-ons i would do that.

I have loads of add-ons which makes me reluctant to reinstall/repair, but if i have to i have to, and it'll be my last option.

Ive been using my FSX with Acceleration for about a year or so with no problems.

That's another issue, but what would someone do without FSX but this txt-file? He would have to ask for years to get the whole FSX-folder together...

If you look around this forum there are lots of fsx copy and paste entries as people on here like to tweak. That includes some pepole higher up than you on here.

If you dont want to copy and paste the entry, then dont, move on!

rikm12345 you may have serious problems if someone were to send you a terrain config that did not match yours exactly. In example mine has manual edits for several items and I use all 3 UTX versions with Acceleration. You could not use it with success.

So you may be faced with a problem. Someone better than me with terrain may have a solution for you.. you might want to try Allen or Jeff in the UTX forums. They are the guru's of the terrain.cfg

I have never done a repair install. I never trusted that function from the RTM disks. If the Acceleration disk offers a rapair install that may be a solution however if you have things like UTX and FTX installed you will need to run those interfaces to repair the terrain config for their use.
