Do add-ons affect performance?

Sorry, but I have another question .

I was just wondering if the amount of add-ons you have affect performance of FSX? Because I don't really want to add to many if so as I don't really have a high spec. PC.

Scenery add ons will. Plane add ons won't actually affect it unless you're flying them.

Yeah having a bunch of scenery addons will slow you down but you can add/remove them as you please...the only way planes will affect you is while you are waiting for the list of planes to load. I have...uh...a bunch of plane addons and Flight Sim X will "stop working" for about 20 (give or take) seconds because of them. Other than the scenery, the planes don't affect your framerate at all

Planes can effect your frame rates depending on the detail that the author used Some pay ware aircraft can effect your frame rates because of the amount of detail they use.Granted it usually is not does not effect rates a lot but it can slow you down.  8-)

OK, cool, I will try not to add too much scenery. I don't want it messed up any more than it already is!
