FSX Gold

Postby DaveSims » Mon Oct 27, 2008 1:55 pm

Just saw it was released.  Looks like nothing more than FSX Deluxe plus Acceleration.  Just another way for MS to charge $60.

Been on our Wal-Mart shelves for a month or better, $49.95.

A better deal than buying seperately, if starting out from scratch, and wanting both....

When last on the shelves: FSX Deluxe was 39.95 and Accel was 29.95
At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

I for one do not want Acceleration. Not until I am convinced they finally got rid of all the bugs in it. I am quite happy the way FSX is for now. 8-)
That program caused more problems than a mouse in a nudist colony ;D

What problems do people have with Acceleration ? :-?
I've had it since it came out and haven't had one single problem.

It's worth it just for the F18A,P-51 and the EH-101 Heli.

I have not bought Acceleration yet because I'm not sure it will work with my system.  I would like the additional aircraft, but the readme for SP2 doesn't sound too reassuring.

SP2 was made to help it run better. From my understanding anyway.

When acceleration first came out there must have been a half a dozen posts made here about addon aircraft not working correctly and the display problem mentioned as well. It seemed like every day there was a complaint about it. Besides that I just do not have any desires to have it.

Forget Acceleration, just download SP2 FREE from the MS site.

I have Acceleration installed, its just that I have realised that I have no interest in any of the aircraft, and I don't fly missions either.

So a free SP2 would have been the best for me.  But when I can spend money, why not!
