HDG and NAV help !

i knew that there is a way of aligning the aircraft to the runway by setting the runways nav and heading on and clicking the APP button plus switching nav and gps to nav i did this but the aircraft does a dirty turn on a side and doesnt align to the runway why is that ?

Thanx for yr comment i will buy a joystick with a rudder movement because my joy stick just turns the plane right or left and i still wanna have flights until i buy the other joystick !

Well, if you want your plane to follow your course set in the flight planner, change it from Nav to GPS then press the NAV button on your autopilot. For landings, change GPS to NAV, enter the NAV1 radios from your map, and change the course to the ILS hdg.

It gets boring when you include the autopilot.

I suggest flying the tutorials and lessons, they're worth gold.

Anxyous, the OP CLEARLY asked for help with the AP/APP function, not your opinion on why the autopilot is boring. I suppose, real life airline pilots are n000000bs!!!teh1! when they use AP/APP in rough weather.

Vvbh, you must tune your Nav 1 or Nav 2 to the runway ILS. Press the ident button for whichever radio you are using for the frequency, and press autopilot, and then approach.

Try and line it up yourself first, and intercept the glideslope from BELOW. You must aid the autopilot a bit by doing some of the work before hand.

Trust me, when you force the autopilot to do everything itself, you will find yourself really uncomfortable when the plane pitches down 30 degrees to follow the glideslope.

Oh, and TURN HDG off, it overrides NAV I believe.

And then there are those who use the ILS as an aid, and fly the plane by hand...
