Error ID=25

FSX including FSX Steam version.

Error ID=25

Postby Bubblehead » Tue Oct 14, 2008 11:33 pm

When I tried playing FSX tonight I kept getting this Error window wit a yellow exclamation stating Error ID = 25 (null). Previous to this I deleted some programs related to Phantom EFX slot games. I am not able to do restore maybe because I emptied the Recycle Bin. Need help.

My "knee jerk" suggestion would be to delet the FSX.cfg and attempt to restart FSX.

If that doesn't work, you should be able to uninstall and reinstall from your disks.

Try updating your video card drivers.

I already tried system restore but no joy probably because I make the mistake of emptying the Recycle Bin right after I removed a bunch of files I thought belonged to the Phantom EFX slot games. It looks like I may have to reinstall. I am presently backing up the collections of add-on FSX files. One question: I have the FSX DeLuxe copy and also the FSX Acceleration. Are there any existing patches I have to install? BTW, my video card (Two ATI Radeon HD 3870 connected in crossfire) drivers has recently been updated.

Thanks for the input ya'll but I found the problem with the help of MS support. My icon was "corrupted". So I typed the path in the Start, Run and copied the the icon from among the files.
