Cant get out of mission. HELP PLEASE

Top of the day to all. I flew one of the mission and complete the nission and hit the end mission button. For some reason when i go to create my own flight it still stuck in the mission i cant get rid of the compass marker in the top left corner and no ATC. and it keep telling me mission failed although i exit mission. I exit the game and launch it again but the same result..Any help please?

Did you perhaps save the mission as your default flight?
Using My Computer open up a folder called My Documents Then open a folder called Flight Simulator X Files Delete all of the flight plans and restart FSX You more than likely will get a error message stating unable to load Default flight. Just ignore that it should load up the original default flight You will need to st up your default flight again. 8-)
