FSX.Cfg

Postby jime59 » Wed Oct 01, 2008 6:05 pm

I just got rid of quite a few planes I don't/won't use anymore and I noticed my FSX.Cfg still shows some of the panels/gauges still there.
My question: Do I delete my FSX.Cfg to clean it up without doing     any "damage" to my FSX?
Once it's deleted, I just restart FSX and it will build a new Cfg.?
I got a little nervous before I was going to deleted it and just want to double-check. Would appreciate any input on this.

I think the gauge entries in the cfg just show what you allow FSX to run as trusted software. Not an actual list of what gauges are installed in the gauge folder.

I second this statement but after backing up the FSX cfg file go ahead and delete it or better yet just remove the entries from it and save it .
just make sure you back it up first 8-)

Thanks for the replies guys. I renamed the original FSX.Bak and restarted FSX.
