Tutorial on getting jetways on low settings

Postby Anxyous » Tue Sep 30, 2008 1:26 pm

A lot of people are complaining about jetways only showing up when some settings are set relatively high.

However, I have just discovered a way around this.

You need the Airport Design Editor (which I believe you need the FSX SDK for).

Open up the airport in question, and then under 'Lists' in the top, choose 'Jetways'.

A list of the jetways in that airport will appear.

Double-click on one, and under 'Image Complexity' set a setting that is either lower than, or matches your autogen density setting.

Compile the airport, place it under Addon Scenery/Scenery, and you're good to go! :)

BTW, this may not belong here, but I figured it would be relevant to a lot of people, and may not have been noticed a lot, had I placed it in the scenery design forum.

:)

Probably not, but I've been thinking:

People can come to me with requests for specific airports, for which they want jetways with lower settings, and I'll make it for them :)

In that case KDAY, in Dayton Ohio! ;) would be nice if my nearest home airport was a little more functional! :)
