Hi guys,
Can anyone tell me how to autoland in fsx????? Message me as soon as possible.

Thanks.

Technically speaking there is no auto land feature in fsx. The closet thing to it is to use the approach setting on most autopilots. But BEWARE this will not land the aircraft . 8-)

i've had some success with using the autopilot to set the altitude, and manually adjusting the throttle.  not exactly "auto"  but best we can do with the game really.

What a dark age this is, new pilots wanting to do as little as possible...

What's the point of FS If you want to only watch the aircraft take off, navigate, and land by itself? Go watch a bunch of cockpit videos ::)

Well said.

I'm a GA, stick and rudder type myself.
I even prefer a manual tranny on my cars

I like to land manually myself 99% of the time.  But as say for example 767 pilots have to test auto landing at given intervals then some of us like to try it too.  Then their is the gismo thing in some of our heads and we like to try it out.  Yes, the Level D 767 has autoland, so does the PMDG 747 if I recall, they do work in FSX really well.  Landing and automatically braking the aircraft to a halt.  They do not however auto taxi to the gate....  ::)

There is an autoland gauge in fs9. I tried it out and it is not too bad.Never tried it in fsx but it should work.  I think.Cant recall where  I got it but check the gauge files in this site or avsim.

I don't mind landing planes. But the bigger they are (like 747's) I like autoland better.
