autopilot question

Postby MightyGaz » Sat Sep 06, 2008 6:02 pm

Hi folks, first post here, and i have a question about the autopilot.

now i aint a major realist like many who play this game, i play for fun.  not cause its a great recreation of flying.  which means i spend a lot of my time in autopilot, and when needing to take the stick myself end up jumping around the sky as if i was having a stroke during the flying in most of the aircraft.

for example the F-18.

so i ask, does this thing have an autopilot that doesnt take several years of military training to work out?

and if not, how do i add one?

cheers!

I would suggest that you try to find a aircraft that all ready has a autopilot rather than adding one to a aircraft that does not as this could get tricky and could involve more than just adding the gauges to the aircraft. 8-) I would not say that it can not be done but that it might be more to than you are prepared to do.

well yeah, i had thought of that  :P

the adding of the stuff aint the issue, the flying is.

so i take it from your answer there is no autopilot on the thing?  i ask as there is a button marked AP.  which confuses me lol

There is an autopilot in the Acceleration Hornet.

I would suggest checking out this forum board specifically for the hornet to learn about the advanced features, specifically the avionics.... ;)
