Why is my VC Main panel texture not showing??

I have downloaded this dassault falcon originally for fs2002 but patched for fs2004 and I found that only the panel gauges and texture need to be fixed, (gauges are being fised but texture I am very puzzeled on)

It isnt compatable I know that but I am trying to make it compatable as there are no dassault falcons for fsx payware or freeware

Brett, are you using FSX SP1 or SP2 ?

My guess is that the bmp file has no alpha channel at all.
Prior to trying to edit the Alpha, choose the option "create Alpha Channel (Black)", then send the Alpha to the editor and fill it with white (if SP2) or black (if SP1), then save in the editor, refresh Alpha in DXTBMP, and save your texture choosing the extended bitmap, DXT3.

Tell us the results.

and my guess is there are no textures for that specific part ,there is a missing map OR is an fs9 model and they use a gmax /3dmax color in that area..I guess

I am running fsx accelerated with vista

This is what I see when I open it with DXTBMP program.

I tried what you said about creating it in black alpha then sending it to editor and filling it with white but it was already white. confused

Did you try it with the black Alpha channel? Otherwise I suspect Alrot is correct.

No use me trying it as I don't have FSX.

ok... i googled it... it was very hard to find as its not on any sites like simviation or avsim etc... i will look now.. expect a post within the next 15mins with the link of where i originally got it from

hmmm. ok... that is weird, I am interested to know whether it is xp or vista you are running

Ok ,After a while working , I just find out that these guy use the whole panel and a symbol code ($) as a map and as the place to set Gauges .. It works in FS9 but not in FSX , I made it black thru the [Vcockpits] and this is what I got

     

I can make another color Just fort you if you want it ,but I don't think it worth it
