Strange FSRecorder issue

Postby Meck » Wed Sep 03, 2008 8:45 am

Hey,

I've been using recorder for about 3-4 months now, exclusively for recording a single aircraft and taking screenshots afterwards.

Since I've recently seen many pics posted here with multiple aircraft in one pic I tried following my recorded planes again recording with FSRecorder.
In this specific case I flew the Su-27 somewhere around Friday Harbor recorded it and played it as traffic to follow it with another Su (again recording). But when I tried to watch this second flight (Add-On --> FSRecorder--> play --> filename) I came up parked at the gate at Vancouver Intl. (I think I've never landed there before in my whole FS life) with engines shut down... I've now tried several times and it seems I can only replay 1 aircraft without FSRecorder messing the thing up...

You have to choose "play as traffic", not "play" ;)

But if I'd play it as traffic I would have 3 planes, no? And I would have to follow the first 2, or am I wrong?!

Try what was suggested not long ago (and then very overused :P).

Record the first flight normally, play as traffic, record again, then play the two files together.

I think I've done that... Recording flight, play as traffic, follow the 'traffic' while recording again. When I tried the FSRecorder 'play' (second recorded file) I came up at Vancouver...

Yeah, highlight them both, and choose 'Open' :)

However for screenshots, if you got Deluxe, I'd recommend Traffic Explorer.

Though I find it's a bit strange that you have to start another flight to view the old 2 aircrafts (I hope I've done it correctly?) via the view --> viewmode --> traffic but:

It works:

my first "2 aircraft shot":
