Look at the pic above the cfg post, The AP will show I just haven't got it all figured out yet as to which ones will work best, a few of the gauges in the cfg post I placed are in wrong places and others not replaced at all, this is just something to get started with that still gives cool options like the shift+# window views, I WILL get it though! ;)

EDIT: LOOK AT THE [VCOCKPIT01] SECTION OF MY POST AGAIN!!! ;)

wow ok... it looks like you got everything worked out... your a big help doing what your doing. I hope we manage to get this a318 fully fsx compatable. I have almost finished the VC windo texture fix for when it rains. It will be there soon.

thanks again for what you have done so far

lol i wish i could say yes my side of the internet but every time i do a modification... i only end up doing it horribly wrong... the only things I can mod are the majority of the aircraft.cfg,   some prop texture conversions to fsx (not all kinds) , names etc and VC windows.... thats all... so I am still a beginner at the modding side of things.

Np ... I found this bird on www.flightsimulatorguide.com in my search for a decent fsx compatable fokker 100/70 but i saw this a318 and thought of giving it a try . I instantly fell in love with the way she flys and looks. And the suspension effects on landing are ver real with its soggy feel to it... I have included a thread of a youtube video for you to see how the suspension used on the heavier a321,a320 and a319 effect the lighter a318. (both pilots ended up with broken arms but crew and passengers just shaken.)
I all adds to realism and I think fsx lacks freeware regional jets with VC's.... this is the closest I can get to one.  :)

I have come to realise there is no option but to do the microsoft VCrain update to use it in the rain... it is a shame as I thought I would be able to incorperate it into the package, but the good nows is that the windscreen wipers work the inside and outside and it brings the aircraft to life from the VC when its raining.   :)

Any luck with the VC or is it looking hopeless?

Hi Social

The entries below will get the readouts from the autopilot to show in the VC, and some of the MFD details, but using the controls for the auotpilot is interesting to say the least.

Just replace the XX

I am currently working on a computer with no fsx on it at the moment as I have a few family problems and I am staying 2 nights at someone else's house... If all goes well I should be able to get back to fsx by tommorow to check out those autopilot "placing's", Jim when you say it is interesting trying to use the autopilot what do yyou mean, Is it working perfectly or is at a bit out of line or something, Dispite that I am glad that you have managed to get something showing up there, I wondered if there is any screenies?  :)

Hi All

The reason I said that the controls are interesting is that the default Airbus_A321 autopilot is actually buried behind the panel with just the readout visible, the actual controls for the VC autopilot are the Boeing747_400 gauge entries in the Vcockpit01 section of the panel.cfg file that the original author seems to has placed onto the top of the rather large mushroom rotary control heads, which because of the close proximity to each other, combined with the lack of tool tips to let you know which control you are about to alter, for example speed or heading select/hold, can make for adjustments of a particular control difficult without adjusting the other control by mistake.

As for a screenshot, I

Hi Social

The popup gauges idea is one of the things I meant as to the compromises that may have to be made in the VC.

It
