Decent Rig.....Only 9 FPS at the gate!!!! HELP!!!!

Hello all,             (Thanx in advance)!!!

I know something is wrong with my FSX, I used to get 15-20 FPS at the gate and about 60-70 at 15000 ft or more. Lately
I have only benn getting about half that at the gate and in the air.

I recently updated my Direct x to the June 2008 release and I am also running X graphics, UTX, Active Sky X, and XPAX. I have been running these addons with now problem wich leads me to believe it is something else, I have defraged my HD on a regular basis, and I only use the XP partition for FSX.

I did all the "tweaks" to the FSX.cfg file.

Here are my PC specs:

Windows XP SP2 (32bit)
Gateway GT5468
Intel MoBo (DG31PR)
Dual Core Intel 2.33 E6550 1600FSB
4GB A Data PC 2700

I have a similar and maybe better and worse in some areas and while on ultra high settings with tweaks i would get 9fps at the get. take your autogen down and mesh a bit down. Or set it to general High. Keep weather on High keep traffic on low or get 3rd party traffic.

I will give this info a try, thnx again for the pic upload info. will do tthat from now on.

Also, don't know if this makes any diff, but I am using Ultimate traffic for FSX I forgot to mention that.

Thanks again, for the quick response I am so frustrated with this, but we all know how hard it is to get FSX running right. Sheesh!!!  ;)

I am back up to 20 FPS at the gate thank you so much you have no idea, pat yourself on the back for me!!!

I have been actually crashing flights because of this frame rate issue, you are the man or woman (all due respect)!!!  ;D

Yes, when you're at the gate, the AI traffic becomes a real FPS hog.
You have to set the GA traffic to zero, and install some alternative AI traffic (like World of AI) that uses FPS-friendly models, not like the FSX default traffic....
