Hey guys!

Is there anyway to get rid of the annoying cockpit reflections in FSX?

If you are meaning the reflections of things inside the A/C on the windows viewed from inside the VC, they are textures and alpha channels I think. I tried to remove them from an FS9 AC that the windows turned to like mirrors. Got black or gray windows and gave up. If someone has the answer and can fix this it would be great. It was one of my fav ACs 690Turbo.

Yeah that is it, those damn reflections look bad when looking out the window and even if I turn off the panel lights they remain.

A lot of my windows turn completely black.

Anyone know how to remove that?

That's an incompatibility with FSX SP2.
1. You need to download a little utility called 'DXTBmp'. I don't have the URL, but google it, and you will find it
2. Use it to open up the glass texture file
3. Export the alpha channel to your image editor
4. Make it completely black, and save it
5. Refresh the alph channel in DXTBmp
6. Save the texture file.

Remember to make a backup of the texture file before editing it
