Best Alternative AI Traffic for FSX

Postby usapatriot » Wed Aug 13, 2008 8:17 am

I've of there being alternative AI traffic programs for FSX which replace FSX's standard models with more FPS friendly ones as well as some new real world traffic textures.

Ideally I am looking for freeware if possible.

Thanks!

Alright thank you! I'm looking into that now.

Thank you so much for answering all my questions that I've asked for a while now.  :)

http://fullterrain.com/freeware.html Scroll down for free Australian traffic: international and domestic!

I recommend waiting for Traffic X by Just Flight (www.justflight.com)

I went with World of AI and now I am downloading a whole bunch of packages for it. I wish they had all the packages combine into one though!

World of AI wasn't too good...

I guess I will be looking at payware products since the freeware stuff is seriously lacking.

World of AI requires you remove the original FSX traffic bgl files or WOAI traffic wont show correctly

Make sure you have followed the directions for its use. You can spend an entire day downloading and correctly installing the aircraft and their supporting files there are so many of them so if you are judging WOAI on a few planes that is a mistake

Well I couldn't find a proper guide to doing it so I'd rather not mess with it.

Plus, most planes only have routes for Winter or Summer months which means that some planes will always be idle. I think???

No, any flightplan, winter or summer, will fly year-round..

AI flight plans are not aware of seasons. It's just that if you're a real stickler for realism you could swap the proper seasonal schedules as required.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

I wouldn't get too excited about winter or summer schedules. I work for a major US Airlines and our flight schedules change almost monthly now. It's impossible to have a completely accurate schedule anymore.
