What is direct GPs, does mean the planes nav system is linked with the line that leads to the waypoints?

Direct GPS will be a single course, straight from departure to destination.

If you do choose some waypoints, it'll lead you to those.

Direct GPS is a straight line flight, though you can add waypoints in the Flight Planner..

Regardless of what type of flightplan you create, the flightplan track will show on the GPS and you can have the AP-Nav follow that track by switching the Nav/GPS switch to GPS.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

What do commercial airline pilots use most?

What is the point of setting way points?

Well, if you're not using the GPS, setting VORs and NDBs as waypoints is very good (almost necessary) for navigating.

Some other purposes as well... That I'm too busy to explain now :P

It depends on what kind of flying I am interested in doing and what kind of plane.

I use none of those choices. I get the actual real-world route online of the flight that I am flying.
