Hi all, I was wondering how to calculate the decision height/altitude for approach?

No calculating involved... It's the altitude the ILS takes you to.

I always make the decision to ensure that the plane has landed before I approach the door to step out... ;)...!

For most ILS the decision height is 200 feet agl.  The only way to know for sure is to have the approach plates for that approach, as the minimums can vary from runway to runway.
