Strange problem - Planes pitching up

Postby Abstraction » Sun Jul 20, 2008 5:40 pm

The 747, CRJ, and a bunch of little add-ons are strangely pitching up, uncontrollably, making them non-flyable. It's been going on for quite a while now and I haven't figured out how to fix it. I tried moving the CG forward in the aircraft file but that didn't work. Soo, what's going on? Any ideas?

Try adjusting your elevator trim tab down. Might be the simple solution.

Thanks, but I've tried that too. It's really strange!  :o

Just tried that. I dove it in to the ground intentionally, crash mode being off, just to see if that would do anything, and it did for like, say, five seconds, and then it pitched up again.

Well hang in there. Maybe someone else has some idea what is going on.

Sounds like the autopilot is on.. but it's hard to say for certain, without more info..

Okay, I tried turning it off, made it better, yet it still pitches up. Without holding full downward pressure, the aircraft literally does an inside loop. It doesn't do it on small, single engine aircraft.  :-?

Are you reducing throttle?  Most aircraft will have that tendency if you fly full throttle.

Yeah, I'm flying at a normal cruise speed and power setting. Well... trying to. Lol.

When you are at altitude (by that, I mean *any* altitude that safe to cruise at) will your aircraft fly level with AP on?  Does it trim itself out for level flight?

Exact same thing happend to me. No matter what I flew, the nose would pitch up and the plane would stall. I really have no idea why... but it just fixed itself after a few restarts.
My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

Huh, interesting. I've restarted the simulator and the computer multiple times and yet the aircraft still pitch up.

You already checked the joystick calibration.
