Lack of quality and availability??  No ..... not really  ..... if you spend a little time searching and exploring you'll find a great selection of aircraft and other add-ons for free .... or practically.  And I need to apologize myself for not expressing more appreciation sooner for the freeware that's out there. And especially Alrot's .... Alrot, I appreciate your efforts and dedication to make this flight sim experience more exhilarating and exciting by giving us more aircraft to put in our hangers. I've greedily lapped up everything (I think) that you've put out there .... that is, the ones I'm capable of flying.  ;D ;D
And is $29 too much to pay for an aircraft you want .... not hardly. How much do you pay for a game that you get tired of in a month or two??  You can fly that $29 plane into all parts of the world and get a new challenge and experience every time ... and you could spend years doing it. If you stick with the same plane think how good a pilot you might become!!   ::)  I just spent $52 for a Cheyenne .... and I certainly got my money's worth. Currently I'm touring with 2 others touring Peru in South America. Look at it this way ..... the fuel is really cheap and the insurance is, well, you know  ....  ;D ;D

same case in everything there are good and poor quality planes out there. i have bought few addons planes etc. and not all of them are value for your money.
i have found many great free planes and whole lot of bad ones.

just that current prices por payware are too high for most users
20-50$ for one plane is too much for me and most publishers dont even give demos so you dont know what you are getting.
dont know if the payware makers even have a permissions to use real aircrafts as a model for a commercial usage. at least i belive that not every one are giving permissions for free.

That last bit raises a good point, even when it comes to freeware.  If something is copyrigted, can you even make a freeware add-on without the permission of the copyright holder?  Probrably a topic best somewheres else, but it's a thought that occures.

Creating Add-ons for FSX is often a thankless job. And the amount of time it takes to create these works of art can vary greatly. I for one am happy with the fact that these people share their hard work with us. I agree it seems that the new releases have been a little sporadic lately. but just wait a while. Sometimes there is a drought followed by a flood of new and exciting add-ons.

that might help freeware model authors.

That's great, thanks, hopefully we will now see a few full fledged conversions that work well with FSX.

The only thing wrong with Alrot's co-pilot is that she isn't real...

The good thing is that she isn't real.... then she would walk right past and ignore me completely.

Or Alrot would be getting complaints from angry wives instead, and not the guys... ;D

I can't believe people have insulted your work ALROT and freeware in general.  I can't wait to get a new computer and FSX so I can enjoy the new freeware aircraft such as your 707 and citation.  The last payware planes I purchased were from Carenado, but I don't ever fly anything but freeware.  I feel more of a connection to them like they are a gift...because they are.  Keep up the good work freeware guys!

yeah freeware is sometimes better then payware, the only payware I ever got was the Admiral Kustenov.

I remember that to Alrot, the whole 727 thing, It was pretty whack.
