REINSTALLATION ERROR!!

i uninstalled fsx from my comp and cleared the registry. when i went to reinstall an error message came up saying "fsx cannot read from the specified device"
can anyone tell me how to get it installed? i need flight sim!  :'(

Possibly cdrom problem. I recently had to reinstall fsx, treid to do the repair with the cd, no good same problems that made me reload in the first place. Uninstalled FSX (control panel) add remove prgs. Cleared the reg. Deleted FSX folder from prg files and the fsx folder in documents & settings (user folder), application data, microsoft. Then a clean install sp1 and sp2. Bling, bling and a pinky ring. Worked great,
