What I've done:
Uninstall and reinstall 3 or 4 times ...
Reinstall vcredist_x86 (I know, grasping at straws here)
Tried ALL the other Dakotas .... same thing
Installed the latest Nvidia driver ... 75.19 (after a drive sweep)
Remove the mild oc I had (was 2.7, now back to 2.4 Ghz)
Check for disk errors
Copy the file DF236_VC4_T.DDS up one directory (my thinking was ... well, maybe it needs some help finding the file ... (I think this is the file)
O&O defrag .... I know ... but why not?
It seems something has flipped since it DID work correctly about a week ago ... and I haven't done anything drastic since then.
If anyone can shed some light on this for me ..... Nick? (When you are not swamped with all our pleas for help of course)

:-/ Move forward to a week later and I switched to a different payware airplane (different software company too). A texture error message appears when I load AND when I switch views. I un-installed and re-installed so many times I got warnings :o checked and swapped hardware, checked all my software .... nothing. Finally it dawned on me .... maybe, just maybe the missing texture/file is something built in for a future upgrade, an enhancement, a new model ?? So .... uh, um ..... take out the instruction that I had previously put in. Ala ..... no error messages and the plane flies normally. I don't know it that's the FINAL answer .... but it's something that was not there in the beginning ... and it works. So the synopsis ... I learned a few things in all my tests and research ... and maybe to document the steps that I take a little more carefully.
