Knowing when to release flaps and what speeds?

Postby tcco94 » Sat Jul 12, 2008 11:38 pm

Okay well im not a noob at all JUST TO FORWORN but I do sorta know when to use my flaps but sometimes when I fly and im at like 190 knots on approach or such, Ill put one flap down but then you'll hear like a buzzing noise (you should know what it sounds like). So then I just bring the flap back up and wait a little bit longer.

Now what are the certain speeds or altitudes for each flaps on jet's (Boeing's-Airbus)?

Any help would be appriated and if theres a special tutorial in the game that would also be great!

Thanks so much!  ;)

Have you ever checked the kneeboard?

All the data you want is right there for you to read...  ;D

For example:

..\FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\b747_400\boeing747-400_ref.htm

lists all the reference speeds, flap deployment tables, etc.

Basically I extend flaps when I deem it's necessary - to keep the Angle of Attack (difference between where the aircraft is GOING and where is is POINTING) within a reasonable amount (3-8 degrees). Max extention speeds are bellow the landing gear lever in the 2d panel, atleast for the default 737.

FSX?

It's here:

..\SimObjects\Airplanes\B737_800\boeing737-800_ref.htm
