FS Water Configurator - RELEASED!

I finally got a chance to install it and play around with it. What a truly amazing program you guys have developed! Seriously! Coming from somebody who appreciates the Flight Sim world and environment in which we fly, you have given us complete control of the water within FSX! In the past it has always been a texture install and if you liked it, great, if you didn't, well onto another. With your program you have given the user complete control of reflections, colors, shading, night effects, etc... I love it!! I really like how you can adjust the night reelection of the water. It makes flying around lets say the bush, truly a fun experience! I can set the night reflection to now show me where the water and coastlines are making my VFR night flying more enjoyable! I can now "see" the water against the darkened landscape!

And the day effects are really remarkable! The interface is professional and I will gladly be donating to this wonderful project! You guys should really be proud of yourself and Simviation does appreciate you posting here and keeping us all "in the loop" as to the progress of this project!

Thanks for the very kind words Dave , and I'm very glad it worked for you .

We still have issues regarding AMD/ATI Radeon HD 3 Series and up cards, the SP1 shader, and some people not even being able to run FSWC at all, so my apologies go out to those dudes :-/.

However, we don't just stop at apologizing, because the team have pitched in some way, and we've worked out possible fixes for all of those issues, so give us some time, and maybe those who can't, will soon be able to run and enjoy FSWC .

Its like anything else in software distro

we can only beta test so much and we knew when we resleased there was going to be reports. The only way we can attack the issues correctly is to get those reports and work out what we find.

FSWC is not MS and does not have huge resources to work with so we got it to the point where it was working for most and will deal with the rest in post production. that way when we do resolve the issues they will get taken care of for most users all at once.

Big companies have massive computer arrays with different specs and everything that they test things on.

We have four computers, plus twenty or so more scattered across the globe belonging to different testers, those of which don't have debugging tools of any sort, and who aren't consistently online, and to make matters worse, our timezones are all different.
