WWII Foo Fighters.  ;)

I've never seen anything like them. Are they always there?

Well I noticed them just some minutes ago. I'll try restarting the sim, to check.

Just restarted the sim, no luck, the parachutes are still there, always at approx 32.800 feet :/

I restarted again, and choosed another plane, still there:

Looks like cargo drops with no texture for the crates or parachutes.  I have no idea why that should start happening.  Perhaps if you look in the Simobjects and temporarily move the "Food Pallet" some place else, and see if the pink parachutes disappear.

Either that or you have a pink Mary Kay AI C-141 dropping relief cosmetic... :)

I was flying over Sion, but the parachutes are following my plane position. In fact, the behavior consits in three main points:
- centered on the plane position
- stuck at 32800 feet
- always in the same orientation (looks like wind direction, but not sure)

Have you installed any addons recently which might be causing them?

I have installed a lot of planes, but it's been a while since last time I tried flying that high, so the issue may be even older than I thought... hard to tell :/

Looks like a 'Visual Flight Path', with a different 'shape'...

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
