Animals in FSX

Postby ual902 » Sun Jun 22, 2008 1:05 pm

So Ive flown around Africa around the parks, around Arusha in Tanazania and I dont see any Animals, is there any extra setting  in my settings that I need to check? I have most settings checked for custom high.

Any thoughts on Animals on FSX?!

The "Game Park Patrol" mission has some.  I'm not sure about a non-mission, unless rhey can be coaxed out by cranking "Traffic" up to the max

"Pachyderm 16, we have you on emergendy final to Kenya IT.  Be advised of a flight of Wildebeast at angels 6 to your south....."

"Roger, Pachyderm 16, you are cleared for landing on runway two niner.  Descend to angels 3...  We'll have a vet standing by to remove that Cessna as soon as you come to a full stop...."

You can try to put a tick in Advanced Animation option is settings. But living world in FS doesn't means that animals are everywhere in African parks. There's only very few...

There's no HIGHEST settings of Animations-only a tick in settings. You ought to go to the SETTINGS-GRAPHICS tab and check Advanced Animations. Then go to the Missions and choose "Game Park Patrol" mission-when you start mission you should see elephants crossing the runway,if you don't see them let us know! ;)

I've never tried those missions with animals before, but I have spotted a few birds on occasion.... ;)

There's something more: animals are just AI traffic. If you have installed any FS9 AI packages, then most of your default FSX ground/water traffic will be disabled.

However, I remember somebody posted some shots of whales he spotted somewhere in Alaska, long ago...
