i can't seem to find the boot.ini file. and i have the view hidden folders and files on. :-/ i've even tried searching for it and even that can't find it.

If this is XP and the only OS in the system, and, its installed on the C drive..  it must be

C:\boot.ini

It has to be there

If you were following my performance list, you would already have that disabled, and, 'launch folder windows in a separate process' enabled too.

I moved this from the sticky thread for a "Clean FSX & Acceleration  Install" at the top because that thread is intended for the procedures and details in that thread  :)
