King Air 300 Trouble

Postby Flying Mouse » Tue May 13, 2008 1:42 am

I downloaded this baby, 12th download from the top:

http://www.simviation.com/fsxprops21.htm

Installed her and all looks good. When I load a flight she does not want to start up.

I have installed a file that starts my aircraft in free flight with cold cockpits here, 3rd from the top:

http://www.simviation.com/fsxmisc1.htm

Now I never had any problems to start any other add-on nor default having this file.

Anyone know why I cant start her up?

Thanking helpers in advance.

PS: I have even tried CTRL+E and that aint working either and I do have gass onboard.

I you are using the Cold&Dark mod, then do not forget to set the mixture at 100% before strating. Hit CRTL+SHIFT+F4, then try CRTL+E again to see if it worked.

Mixture is @ full.

Problem is when I flip the battery switch, or any other for that matter, they just flip back to off.

Now without battery power one can do nuffin further  :'(

I noticed something similar in the FS9 version.  The solution was to go into the virtual cockpit and switch the battery and generator switches.  Some kind of glitch in the panel programming that would only allow the VC battery and generator switches to work, not the 2d panel ones.

If you want to start a flight with the engine and aircraft systems off, simply shut everything down when you're done with a flight, and save it. When you want to fly again, load your saved flight and everything is just the way you left it

I'm sorry we couldn't fix your problem, it really is an excellent aircraft.  Probably my most flown.

I have the B-300. It will do a cold start for me if I use Ctl E. The thing I cant get to work is the 2 Bleed switches. I have to switch to another A/C B1900C etc then go back to the B-300 to get the Bleed switches into the open position. Then when I get to about 12,800 ft I get a cabin high pressure warning. Setting the alt pressure does not do anything to stop it. But I do like the B-300 over the B-350 even with the fault. If it could be fixed I would be really happy.

Simply add the gauges you need

Well, the VC seems to have the gauges in groups rather than single gauges. Had to figure another way. Tried closing mixture levers to cut engines, turned off main battery. This left the bleed switches in the on position. I was then able to even start engines with the VC starter switches. Just have to keep at it until you work it out. Starters click a lot but the engines turned over just fine. Figured out the cabin pressure problem too. Its just touchy.
