Some support please...

Postby Deviant » Wed Jun 04, 2008 9:42 am

I know this is going to get bumped to payware, but my last post in payware had 30 views in a week.

My question concerns My Traffic X.  I tried getting support at Aerosoft forums but even after I registered it won't let me post.  Anyway if anyone has this add-on I'd appreciate a little help.  I installed via the DVD, however I have no AI traffic in the air or on the ground.  Tried reinstalling with no luck.  I read the FAQ at Aerosoft, but none of the suggestions work.  Any ideas?

I don't have the package, but have you ensured the AI traffic is turned up in your settings?

Don't have TrafficX but just a thought based on how FSX handles 'traffic*.bgl' files.

Do you have any FS2004 formatted traffic files installed? (unconverted WoAI, PAI, etc. are in FS2004 format)

If so, then FSX ignores any FSX formatted  traffic files, running the FS2004 files only Disable or remove any FS2004 traffic files and see if your TrafficX shows up.

Dave

Append-probably irrelavent as I now see you say you have NO traffic.  :-? But even a small local traffic file, outside of your current traffic area will cause all FSX files to be ignored.
At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

Thanks guys.  Esselbach, I had my airline traffic set to 25% and my general aviation set to 15%.  I tried turning it up but still no traffic.  Dave3cu, I have never had any add-on ai traffic, so I don't think it would be that.

Thanks for your ideas though.  I wonder if it's a corrupt disc - maybe files that should be installed, aren't.  I find it wierd, because the DVD install generally avoids these types of problems.
