Is a new Flight Simulator coming out soon?

FSX including FSX Steam version.

.......& as a real GA pilot I spend most of my flying time looking out the window - the single most important gauge. Efforts need to be concentrated on satellite imagery as ground scenery. The rest will follow........

Thank you for saying that.

Through the years, I have heard from too many so-called Flight Sim "purests" that improved (and accurate) secenery is just a waste of efforts and resourses. :)

meh, a new flight sim, things get better with each version and i welcome it with open arms.... and an open wallet :P

the main thing i want is a decent multiplayer system, no more of this p2p crud but use the same system as is used on majority of MP games with a central server ! oh and smooth MP movement so people do not move in 35degree blocks :P (eg FS9 MP)

however it would also be nice for the default cessna's and boeings to have a proper re work on the VC's so they feel 3d like the maule

Personally, I believe that the SDK needed to be included in all editions, not just deluxe. That probably killed at least 25% of the possible freeware right there. Also, the sdk needs a new version that's easier to learn, and not require a computer programming college degree to figure out how to use.  :P Also the sim needs dynamic damage modeling, not this aircraft overstressed text bullcrap. I want to see the wings starting to fall off so i can see that my aircraft is in trouble so i can do something about it. Finally, I believe that FS next should probably use more accurate terrain, as in, satellite imagery for the whole of earth's scenery, along with terrain meshes that are at 1 meter accuracy, preferably smaller. Finally, I would love to see military aircraft and better AI implemented, for instance, if I fly into a no fly zone in an aircraft, I want fighter jets to scramble to escort me away unless I have authorization to be there.

[quote]The biggest problem in the FSX SDK, is not the information that it provides.. but how that information is presented and organized. It's like they said, "OK.. now we gotta throw together an SDK", and didn't spend much time on it.

That's what I'm hoping for in FSXI. Not easier to use technologies.. just a well put together SDK

I thought all I said was TS2 is due in 2009, and then let everyone figure it out from there. Certainly that indicates it cannot be this year or 2009, but I do not recall saying 2011.

Mr Taylor, One question Please.. Are you going to change the procedure of the actual FSX-SDK Again?.........I ran out of hair ,Learn this was tough until after all this hard working I did ...I don't want to re learn everything again .... Remember that MSFS is not only a game and a simulator ,is also a hobby for modelers too...

The more time take to release FS11 ,GOOD for us  ;)

I'm the first impressed by this new format , I like it and nothing can compare the way of the textures ,the realism is impressive and even the way to work on it is much easier , what did this new SDK so difficult ,is that was very different from the old fs9 ,the one we all get used to it

, At least Sir. Please keep in mind if you going to change a new FS11-sdk Please Do not change drastically the procedures , Keep the way of animation tool , the attach point, etc like it is ,

the Im a 43 years old man my mind doesn't work that fast, also English is not my native language, It was very hard for me to learn this Awsome SDK base on xml code..

Thanks you Sir for such of nice work  :)

Phil, I'm an old man and do suffer from some degree of memory lapses, but I sure seem to recall the year 2011 being stated at some point, though I'm sure willing to concede the point... ;)

Even so, the point remains valid that there's little point in anyone getting excited (or exorcised!) until at least many, many months after TS2 is released...
