odd Norway airstrip

Hi all. I'm doing flying in Norway right now and am very curious. There's a small strip called Dagali

Comparing it to Google Earth, it looks ok....except there is no chasm surrounding the airport..

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

I'm not sure about FSX, but in FS9 there were about 7 major elevation issues that someone issued a patch for.  I remember stumbling upon the 10000 foot deep hole in southwest Arkansas.

Thanks for the info Dave. Dopey me never thought of Google Earth'ing it. Sure looks a lot less intimidating, as best as i could see it.

That rock spire at the end of the runway makes for an interesting approach from that direction.  ;)
