Installing is straight forward, as far as I see.

I think Brett is correct... this is new , Small video card won't rederize well bitmaps 2048x2048..

What about Sp1 Brett? or 2

I don't think service packs will matter..  FSX is too much game for onboard video... and 2048 bitmaps push it over the edge. It's gotta be a video memory thing...

Start sim, and..

Still invisable, however, when the display image first appeared, there was the faint image of the aircraft, an almost totally transparent image then a flash of a black silouette (Where's the spell checker!?), then it went invisable again.

All the default models.. and 99/100  add-ons, use 1024 X 1024 textures..   Alrot's Citation and the OV-A10 use 2048 X 2048..

I can't give a technical explanation.. but that's gotta be it.  :'(

I like sim-V.  I trust their downloads, and as you just saw, the folks here will bend over backwards to answer your questions and try to hammer out a solution to a problem.

You can tell me anything Onboard video are so limited I have 3 PC the bigger one the one which has the activation has a small agp FX6200 Nvidia, my son's PC has a MMX 440 128 ram many watter effect are missing ,but the plane looks gret in it.. and I have one in wich I look tv on it ,It has an ATI all In wonder A very old video card and I can see the plane model at this moment..

Sorry your gonna have to buy a video card , the problem is ,of those 230 airplanes you said you have ,How many original made FSX-SDK using dds do you have? ,...besides the default models and using 2048 x 2048 textures?..

I don't know if I can take this as a lesson , all machines works fine , and working with 2048 save a lot extra work ,we don't have to cut the plane in pieces ,I only used 1 maps for all the exterior and 2 more for the VC ..
