It's a risk.

FSX including FSX Steam version.

It's a risk.

With FSX the excellent PMDG 737 is not available, and we are waiting on its replacement.   Rather than download the 747 I have waited on the media version, but even if I had it does not handle the short haul market.

Instead I am having a ball with the Wilco 320 - and believe me in a so-called foolproof aircraft, I am proving them wrong- it's not.

There is no good fully FSX 737 around, which quite frankly means that the Airbus is the ready option.  Boeing should have subsidised some sim manufacturer to produce a 737.  And the A330 is less framerate demanding of the warmed over LDS767 - the true queen of FS9 aircraft -so again we are waiting through the interregnum until NGX arrives.

And it is easier to keep your desk workeable with a joystick for Airbus than to have the Saitek Yoke clamped in place.

Do you think its a risk or are simmers rusted on to particular makes? Most have to give some attention to our credit cards and our wives, and that too is a real risk.

Serves me right, I should look before I leap.  Ariane has one, but their site has problems and I can't get them to take my money.  However their version seems right up in the desktop systems simulator category.

Does anyone know it.

That company (and its owner) has a very long and "colorful" history.  Personally, I'd advise using the Search function at other flightsim sites such as http://avsim.com to better inform yourself...  :-/

hmm ive looked at arianes site before, and ive also read the article on avsim.....however, the aircraft itself does look reasonable, although theres some bits of it i dont particulary like.

Id also be interested in hearing from anyone whos bought it, and what they think of it......although its not really somthing id be buying as the wilco 737 is pretty good and i dont have fsx :D

Yes since making my comment I've read all sorts of negatives about that company.  I think that I will save my money there - there seems to be an endless stream of complaint about validation through to support.

I will stick to the LDS767 - which is great but a framerate killer, and the PMDG 747 when the DVD arrives later this month.  I really wish they would get cracking on their NGX - the market is there.

The 737 PIC is such a warmed-over FS9 model, that screwed up my registry so much that it forced a full reinstall.  It is consigned to the big delete bin in the sky.

Meanwhile the A-small series, and the 330, 340 from Wilco are keeping me amused.

But I will try the Eaglesoft Hawker.

Sorry mods I wasn't talking about payware really, just the lack of a good 737 for FSX.
