Hey Plugpenny a mild correction:  it's up Nick's alley not his ally.

We are all his allies, and an ally is a particular close colleague.

I hope you didn't mean that he was doing something unlawful to an ally.

Although Nick has utterly rejected my reference to a wife, I don't think he would consider doing what you imply to an associate.

NickN?

Does your sig mean you are the Nick who created the Ground Environment X addon?

Da Bad Penny Strikes Again

I did not create it. Anthony Voz created it. I enhanced the US/CAN version and I am now in full development of the Europe version. Since I was not involved with USA/CAN from the start what I could do with it was limited however I am involved with the development of Europe and the rest of the world and it will be delivering a significant change/impact as compare to USA/CAN. Once we finish the rest of the world we will go back and upgrade US/CAN to the new standards.

We are using techniques now that import incredible details right down to FL 200

The higher you go the sharper and more detailed they get so you get the picture

These images are also from a early beta run... I am not releasing images of current finished product

Well, Nick...Those Pics are just awesome...I have the US & Canada versions for FSX at this time.  Fabulous when compared to stock.

Will be getting this European one as soon as it is out.  I never did much adding on to my FS9 except downloading the odd AC or scenery from the freeware part of this site.  I will shout it from the mountain tops that payware such as GEX, UTX, FEX and the like are worth EVERY penny.

And now that I know one of the most helpful folks on this site is connected at the wallet to one of the fine products, I will be a free source of walking, talking and posting advertisement.  Hope this doesn't break some rule here...If it does...Ya can kill me but ya cant eat me...There are laws against canabalism you know.

Da Bad Penny has no shame...

I have been thinking of something since this I used Nick's tweak and realized such a performance boost.

I suggest that the Simviation site include a donation feature.  In short, one could donate to one of a number of charities in the name of...Say...Nick or whoever has helped them.  Or simply on behalf of all those who have given of their time, money and not a litte brain power.

I know this is about sharing and the like, but hands such as myself have neither the time nor the resources, never mind the expertise, to do even the simplest of the things on this site.  I would like to be able to reward the developers yet still be in the spirit of sharing.

Da Bad Penny has used his one idea token for the day...

Charities were what I had in mind to donate to...St. Jude Childrens Hospital or something of the like.

I'm a bit too far away to send Nick a bottle of Bacardi, but if genuine and full appreciation from a truly grateful simmer is a substitute then I send it to him freely.

Regular Bacardi is good, but not as good as Bacardi Reserve.

Then again, I prefer Don Q,

But to savor the moment, "Ron El Barrilito"  truly a sipping rum, the type that to mix it with anything, even ice, is a crime....

Bundaberg rum is the only rum for Australian men.  The rest is for North Americans weaklings who can't stand fiery and strong tastes.

Every yacht race is fuelled by Bundy and Coke!  It makes men, (but it makes them fat!)

And of course a good single Malt whisky - Laphroaig-, with ONLY a drop of water  to bring out the full flavour.

None of that sweet sipping whisky that you make down South.

Jack Daniels  (and I say this with hat in hand over heart)

Jack Daniels, the only whiskey produced in a dry county...How's that for irony?
