tell me what you think
i thought it was a good landing

Looks like the altitude for the approach was good. Might be a bit low though. Off center a bit but that happens...keep practiceing.

Do you have a picture from the cockpit view? Can we see it please? It also looks like a good idea to base your idea in airliners on this:

That's how most airliners land. And in 737 you idle throttles at 27 feet high.


Also, it only looks like an optical illusion that you're too low - the shadow is way smaller than the plane.

No but next touchdown i have ill get one in the cockpit and outside but i dont know how to take a video :-?
And next time ill try and make sure that i land more straight and like how that aircraft on the video did.

You can use your GPS and/or the Approach switch to help you to line up almost centered on the runway.

okay well heres a new one flying into los angeles agian on the other side. im still flying a boeing 737 delta airlines. its still a little off

Try zooming out alittle, maybe to a zoom of .6 or .7, as you don't get good vision at 1.0.

Also, you're barely 50 feet high and are decending at 1000 feet per minute, smash the landing gear through the wings anyone? Pull up more, you should be maybe 4-6 degrees nose up. Also, watch videos of real aircraft landing, that should help.

Also, usually aircraft deplete there CENTRE tanks first, leaving it empty then running off the wing tanks for the remainder of the flight. I beleive if you run the wing tanks dry there is actually no way to get the fuel out of the centre tank. A couple of months ago, a Qantas 737-400 almost ran out of fuel that way.

Not too bad but if you follow the advice other people have given you,  you will be able to get better, also it will be useful if you learn ILS (Instrument Landing System), that way you can land right on the centreline and all you really have to do is flare and disengage the AP and A/T (Auto-Throttle) at the right times, theres more to ILS but once you get the hang of it its quite easy really.

Well i usually do the spot view on landings but the view never works anymore its the view of the top of the airplane where the red light is  :-/
How do i turn on ILS and everytime i try and pull my airplane up a little with my joystick to make the nose a bit higher it pulls the whole airplane up then im losing more and more runway  >:(
How do i fix that?

Ok ILS can be hard to explain / teach but in essence its very simple, i do not have the time right now to explain the ILS procedures but there are many tutorials on youtube, just search for 'ILS Tutorial FSX' or something along thsoe lines.

There is an ILS landing tute here, & a very good radio navigation tute here.

Again, try to practise the ILS approach in something smaller, you'll be suprised how much more rewarding it is to nail a landing properly in a 172 rather than clipping hedges & rooftops for the last mile in a 737 & finally plonking it down off center. You'll soon be slamming learjets down dead center with the help of ILS.

I agree with this. You need to start with a small aircraft such as the Cessna 172 and work your way up into larger and more complicated aircraft. If your good landing the 172 jump into the next step up such as the baron.

Try pressing A a few times when in that view to get the normal view back.

You only want to pull the nose up so you have a relatively soft landing. If you're pulling the nose up till you float down the runway, then don't pull up so much.
