FSX Lockup, and AA That Runs Away

Postby an-225 » Fri Apr 25, 2008 3:47 am

Grrrrr, I just made a flight in my F-5E Tiger II from KLSV to KEDW - I landed (with 0% fuel, this was a flight I wanted logged in my logbook), switched to spot view, where the graphics appeared as if I had AA turned off.

This only happens at photoreal sceneries such as the X-Pack KEDW.

Also, upon switching back to the VC, it froze, making me ALT+F4 out.
This has happened with multiple aircraft - whether they be the F-18A Hornet from the x-pack, or the Alphasim Tiger or Pavelow.

Any fix?

I use an Nvidia 6800GTX.

I would suggest you to monitor closely the temperature of your video card. My 6800 GT started doing such things with FSX.... then it got worse, I had a lot of artefacts and textures problems... and some days after, the card died.

Eh, I just did the flight again - and I ran out of fuel while taxiing to the ramp. :P Appears there are no new drivers for the 6800, last one dates back to December 2007..
