Never Seen an Aircraft Without a Readme File

Postby Space Viking » Wed Apr 23, 2008 6:41 am

I've been flight siming since the early 90s and thought I knew my way around downloads but I just loaded FSX and so I'm not familier with this new sim but was hoping it's not too different from the past.

I just downloaded the terrific looking Stearman Biplane for FSX writen by Dave Eckert (?) and it has absolutly no installation file. What's the deal? Do you just drop the whole damn thing in the Aircraft file these days or what?

Thanks for any help, C. Olsen

Basically: yes!

normaly the *.zip contains aircraft-, effects- and gauges-folder. Put the aircraft-folder to your SimObjects --> aircraft folder, the effects to the default effects-folder and the gauges to the panel folder of your new aircraft (not all planes come with a gauges folder; just leave out this step)...
