Problem / I am stupid

Hi

This morning I downloaded the two files for Victoria scenery from here.

However I can't get it to work properly. I followed the readme carefully and uninstalled the files and tried again but there were still the same problems. The new buildings appear correctly but there is no water in the harbour and you can still see the default textures. Here are some screenshots to show you what I mean.

Area that scenery covers has become very angular.


Although the add on buildings are very nice and so is Victoria International Airport.

Any ideas how this can be fixed?

Looks like some files are not loading (new land polys and shorelines)

1)Did you unzip both download files to the SAME folder before running the installer?

Should the BIN files be manually put in the new file that is created after running the installer as they don't go automaticly? If so where do I put them>

The .bin files DO NOT get put anywhere AFTER you run the installer.

Should the two files (the one that goes into addon scenery (above) and the one that I uninstalled the two downloaded files into(below))  look like this?

The (above) appears proper. Of cource I can't see inside the ..Higher Priority and ...Lower Priority folders.

Note: Once you run the installer, you do not/should not move any files into this folder or any other folder within your Flight Simulator X install. The VicPlus installer takes care of all that.

In the (below), which I assume is in your 'temp' area for FSX downloads/installs, things looks good to go. Just double click on the VicPlus.exe file to start the install....But first:

I suggest you run the uninstall first (in Start>Programs>FSAddon>Victoria+FSX>). After the uninstall, check your FSX Scenery Library. If there are any entries for the VicPlus Higher Priority or ..Lower Priority areas, use the Scenery Library's-Delete function to remove them.

I've deleated all the Vic+ files and redownloaded and istalled assuming I accidently deleated something the first time. But there are still the same problems.

In my last post I'd already run the instaler (below) and the other file (above) is what is created in the addon scenery folder. If I press it again it just reinstalles.

All I can think might have happened is I am installing it into the wrong place, is it meant to be the addon scenery folder?

I've got Bella Coola scenery, I dissbled it but made no differance.

In my lower priority file there is one file and 15 files (I've got roads minor, which is an option when installing) the three water files are there so they must be corrupt.

If you copy and paste the contence of the three water files, might it work if I put your infromation into my files?

Can you give me the properties (file size and file date) for the 3 files.

If you list the info in the order they're shown, you don't have to type the LOOOOONG files names.

I'm still here...  ;)  just trying to figure out what else might be causing the problem..

The file propertis appear to be in line.

As this is dragging, out maybe we should switch to PM's so as not to clutter the forum.
