Postby Chuckles2008 » Mon Mar 10, 2008 3:01 am

Im Running FSX With SP1 + SP2, And When I Select A Flight Or Mission, Upon Loading, At 99% The Game Crashes, And Asks To Submit An Error Report,

I Sometimes Also Get The BSOD( Blue Screen Of Death), When Playing The Game,

Any Advice

That's not easy to answer this... From my experience:

- BSOD: one of your RAM sticks may be damaged. To be sure, we would need the name of the error. If it's something like IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL or PAGEFRAME... then there's a good chance it's the memory. Any problems with any other heavy game ?

- Error message: have you installed any addon recently ? Are you sure you installed the SP1 and SP2 correctly ? Have you overcloked you computer, or modified the memory clock settings ?

Finally, it may be a good idea to check if al your hardware drivers are up to date.

A good way to make sure your memory registers like it is supposed to is to check out this little program www.belarc.com/free_download.html
Once you download it run  it and it will prepare a nice little report about everything on your computer including your memory and what is in each slot. 8-)

Yes, the best thing to do is write down the BSOD message and try to keep it exactly as posted on the screen.. the error message like IRQ_LESS_THAN_EQUAL and the code numbers that follow

post it here and I will tell you where to look next.. usually is either a driver or the memory but that error should get the diagnosis closer

A memory failure is high on the list, as is a driver, or, a system file conflict.
