engine off-0 gas

I dont know what Ive done. Now all my planes spawn with no gas and engines not started.
realism is on easy and unlimted fuel was off, now its checked but I have to start the engines.

Sounds like you have saved a flight with those conditions/settings and have designated that flight as the 'default flight'.

Create a new flight or load a  flight and set the conditions/setting as you like and then save the flight, checking the 'make this the default flight' box before clicking 'ok'.

Those conditions/settings will be applied to any flight you create. It will not effect previously saved flights.

OK, I did, it has gas now, but not running. I still have to start it.

\what started this was I deleted the aircraft saved as default flight (F16) because I screwed up the glass texture for the cockpit in FSrepaint and the vc view wasnt clear anymore.
Ive tried replacing the glassT texture (its for kirk olsoon's f-16) many times to no avail, I even d/l other f-16 by kirk and copied over the glass texture, still didnt work. any ideas here?

quad core on winXP, 8800gts 640mb, 3gb ddr2 1066 ram
