Installing FSX and FS9

Postby Compass » Fri Mar 07, 2008 11:36 am

Hi,

I didn't know if I should post this on the FS2004 forum or the FSX forum, but I'm interested in installing FS2004 on my computer which presently has FSX installed on it.  I would like to be able to use both simulators.  If this can be done, has it caused anyone problems?  Can both FSX and FS2004 be installed on the same drive?

Thanks.

Yes they can.

I currently have FSX and 3 installs of FS2004 plus FS2002 and CFS2 all installed on the same drive.

Thanks for your reply.  Do you happen to know if installing add-on scenery programs for FS2004 such as Ultimate Terrain, Ground Environment and Flight Environment etc. will be affected if I have GEX, UTX and FEX installed for FSX?

I haven't dealt with all of those add-ons, but from what I have seen you will have no issues at all. I have used FS9 & FSX for quite some time. (My brother wont upgrade his PC, so I am forced to multi-fly with him in FS9.) Just insure they install in the correct place while setting it up. ;)

Any issues with adding FS Acceleration before or after adding FS9?

Thanx!
