from the deluxe version

unless you manage to get pirate versions!  >:(

FSX deluxe planes are apart of the FSX Deluxe edition so there fore you have to spend a little more to get the Deluxe content!

I've always bought the delux version, but It's too bad MS didn't have an option to purchase an upgrade to the deluxe version for the people who realize their mistake of getting the standard version...

I am sooo glad I bought the Deluxe version of FSX!  That MS does not provide a way to purchase an upgrade is wanker-ific.  However . . .

Does anyone know if buying and installing FSX: Acceleration will unlock any of the FSX: Deluxe features?  That's just one idea.  Another idea, if you are a poor soul out there desiring to go from the regular to deluxe version is to try and buy a used copy.  This could be, however, a little sketchy, as you will want to make sure that whomever owned it before you didn't register it multiple times and use up all of the key registries.

Well, best of luck, anyway,
Darrin

PS
The ATC is a blast if you have friends or family that also use FSX!

I installed acceleration, its awesome in its own right but no deluxe planes or tower.

I didn't realise there was a deluxe version until yesterday.

Guess I am going shopping,

Thanks guys

Well, all the Deluxe-Version planes exist, they just don't show up (have a look at your aircraft-folder) because they're only used as AI. If you put a panel-folder in those who do not show up (for example the C172 panel copied to the Maule) they will show up and be flyable...!
But it's still not like having Deluxe...

I`m having a lot of fun playing around with some of the SDK too, making scenery and stuff.  It is worth it for the extra in the long run, I do have standard too.

Like Andrew, I have always bought the Deluxe version at the start.  FSX Deluxe has come down in price quite a bit since it came out, but it still sucks to have to pay for it twice.

I also like the idea of a pay for upgrade...
