I just installed the new drivers on my system. I'm running Vista 64. I have the following:

AMD 4400+
Nvidia GTS 320mb (ya the original)
4 gigs ram.

Addons are: Active Sky, GEX, Ulitimate Terraina and FS Genesis.

I used to get an average of 10fps (but smooth) now I'm getting 25 fps (very very very smooth). All I can say is AWESOME!!!!!

These drivers work great!!

I did not get that kind of a jump in performance so I would have to say there was either something wrong with your last driver install or they were very old... or perhaps you set up with Nhancer this time...

none the less my test are remaining linear in results here and they are keepers for me as well.

I am starting to see feedback from Vista x64 users too with the same results

So after further analysis  ;D I'm going to claim a 4 FPS jump in performance. My origianl statement was incorrect because I was comparing the FPS that I get when I fly the 'Captain Sim' C130 to the stock Cessna 172. I wasn't until I loaded the C130 that I realized my error.

Still though I would halve to say that this driver gives me a slight boost in FPS and a bit better visuals (I setup with both drivers using NHancer).

I fly mainly out of KPLI which is fairly graphics friendly. I will be testing out a KSEA which is a bit more intense shortly.

Seeing a lot of comments from Vista and/or 64 bit users here. But what about us poor ol'   "XP 32 bit" guys??  Any improvement, and worth the "driver dance"?

Hi all,

Nick, many thanks.

System: XP Home 32bit
             Intel duo 2.4
             Asus MB
3 GB RAM (I know, it won't use but 2, in fact Mem Stats indicates al ot less)
             8800 GTS
             GEXI, FEX, FS Gensis
All Nhanser, defrag solutions as posted ny Nick N.

Resultes: Steady 28-35 FPS locked at 35, better at Unlimited.
Sliders: LOD - VH
           Mesh Complex- 100
           Mesh Res - 1 M
           texture - 7 cm
water - mid 2x (with new code supplied by nick)
           Complexity - VD
           Autogen - D
           special effects - low

Aircraft : Stock + Aerosoft Beaver + alphasim F104, F11

Level D 767 requires lower settings to get 25-28 at Manchester and Atlanta, forget MIA

Hope this helps.

Jack

PS: Nick, GEXI now makes FSX feel like when I'm really in my Grumman and brings back memories of the B-52 and 707;
Thank you againn for sharing your knowledge!!! I agree about UTX, I removed I because of frame hits..
If you want a hoot, fly the F104 through the Grand Canyon

You did not need to remove UTX... you just needed to set it and FSX up to use it.

I have tuned people's systems running a single P4 and 256mb AGP video card with UTX+GEXn and the results speak for themselves

1M mesh resolution?????

You dont have 1M mesh installed... thats going to be either 38m for default FSX mesh or 10m if you have FS Genesis mesh

Now, if you have Acelleration... and here is an Easter Egg for everyone...

Set Mesh Resolution to 2M and run the Mt St Helens rescue mission... Aces used 3M mesh with Acelleration for the Mt St Helens area

You can fly the mission or just enjoy the mountain in free flight. The new lava-dome is there as well
