Help! Textures are blue, some with Flight Sim log

Postby SidekickUBT » Wed Feb 27, 2008 2:03 am

New PC, 8800 GT Video Card with the latest driver.

When I get into FSX, the clouds are white boxes, planes are blue and about 2-3 seconds later, everything is fine.

Which setting do I need to change?

Unless you have added some scenery or textures recently.
Still sounds like a video card or driver issue to me. Something is not quite right. You might want to try uninstalling your video driver reboot and then reinstall it  8-)

I've added Ground Enviro X. Maybe thats the culprit. Will have to uninstall and see if this is still an issue.

Your textures are loading slowly, that's it.
Maybe you should defragment your hard drive that contains FS, this would speed up the things.

Read the FAQ for more details, but basically NickN recommends to use O&O Defrag. :)

Thank you Sir

I'm just happy I no longer have blurry textures with my new PC. All I need now is my 24 inch HR Flat Panel Monitor which should be arriving tomorrow.  :D

I was involved in the design of GEXn

it wont make you slower.. it will make you faster and run sharper textures

the issue is your machine is running slow... why, I dont know

what are the specs of the machine

If you are only running 1GB of memory on a slow processor you have you settings too high, I can tell you that right now

I have 3 MB of Memory. It is probably a driver issue and the last one from Nvidia is 12/20.07. I've added alot of stuff on top of FSX so a defrag is in need instead of MS defrag.

The blue texture shows up when I switch views. Strange.
