Is it possible have have the GPS info on a secondary display? Also if wanted triple or quad display would you need to fit another card in the second PCI-E slot (non SLI/Crossfire mode)

NO, the external Matrox DoubleHead or TripleHead2Go is really excellent.

I have the Triple Head.  This means from the primary outlet of my videocard the standard cable goes to the Matrox 'box' which splits the signal to three screens.  There is no noticeable loss in performance or resolution because it is sending out 3x1280.  The display is of course shown as 3840x...

From the secondary outlet I connect a fourth screen - and in Full Screen mode any pop-up including ATC can be moved from the Matrox primary screen to the fourth screen.

It is heaven on a stick - until such time as they produce a single screen that can give the same dimensions.

However with two screens, you can simply have them come off each outlet, and then configure them independently, with one as the primary, the other secondary, and again in Full  Screen mode just slide your pop-up across.

If you use your computer for ordinary stuff like working on documents it means that you can have several side by side.
