omigosh...i already added it....am i gonna blow up?...am i gonna die? .....................by the way..to repeat...i tried to find affinity and couldn't...went to process, and the list beneath didn't have affinity ..... forgive dummy........vic

In the process list... right click the process you wish to change CPU useage for, click SET AFFINITY in the box that appears UNCHECK the cores you do not want to run the process

That is ONLY for ADDONS like Active SKY and others that run along side FSX. LEAVE FSX.EXE ALONE

Example..  I will use a quad core because a dual will show the same selections, just 2 less

SELECTIONS:

core0  core1  core2  core3

UNCHECK ALL but the LAST core for the addon (such as Active sky Xengine.exe) to use. Allow FSX to have use of ALL cores

UTX has no process to use for CPU. The utility is exited before flight. All it does is change the BGL files

GEX is the same.. the utility does NOT stay running during flight! It only installs textures and is then CLOSED, thats it
