Viewing Framerates

is there any way to view my frame rate during flight?

i'm only getting 8-12 fps with my new 8800.  damn

But the game is CPU bound.  Is your processor up to it?

And a low end 8800 helps but it still is short of grunt.

Thanks for the responses.  SLACR, what are your settings in-game?  Are you able to go Ultra High across the board and still get good frame rates?

I can't answer for SLACR but in my opinion nobody can run with all sliders maxed.

My insim Display settings are as follows:

Graphics tab:
Ultra high preset 'Global Setting', but with a framelock of 22, and trilinear filtering.

Aircraft tab:
Ultra high preset 'Global Setting'

Scenery Tab:
Ultra high preset 'Global Setting', but with water at 2.0x MID, a mesh complexity of 100, and a mesh resolution of 19m.

Weather tab:
Ultra high preset 'Global Setting'.

Traffic Tab:
Everything off except boat traffic, at 40%, each. I fly on VATSIM.

I dont have a Job Scheduler section or a Bufferpools section and I dont have disable preload in my main section.  Should I add it?

Yes, add the ones that aren't there to your .cfg. :)

All settings on "Ultra High," 1280 X 1024 resolution w/ all the extra buttons turned on.
