Blurred aircraft textures

Postby woody2 » Fri Feb 15, 2008 4:03 pm

Hi guys,

My game is working fine, but the aircraft textres are blurred, no matter what I do.

I went from standard to SP1 to SP2 and no difference. I have palyed around with settings.

Got an Nvidia 6600GT and AMD 3.4Ghz board, 2Gb RAM, tried different drivers etc.

HELP !

What are your graphics settings within FSX?

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

I have had them set at various levels. They are currently set at max, but it doesn't change anything. I guess it must be the graphics card, but it works fine with fs9, cfs3 etc.

Try increasing your 'Global settings' on the display section in the settings.

There is a slider which when moved to the far left reduces the textures on all aircraft/buildings to their minimum.

Move the slider to the right and the texture resolution and detail increases, on the minimum settings airline windows are not even visible.

Global textures or global settings, but you will find them on the same page as your Framerate and graphic card settings in FSX.

Sorted it.

Texture sliders weren't doing anything to rectify aircraft problem, so changed the max texture limit in the CFG. WOW, incredible. was at 128, now changed to 2048. Game is much smoother and looks fab.

Can't believe the difference.

Cheers guys
